Miniature Dwarf Bearded (MDB) are the tiniest of bearded irises, with heights up to 8 inches (20 cm). Also the earliest to bloom, they are most effective in rock gardens, as edgings in front of taller plants, or in drifts where they make a “carpet of color.” Very easy to grow. They compete for the Caparne-Welch Medal.
